The influence of compacting crops on the productivity of perfoliate sylphs

The article presents experimental data on the compaction of perfoliate sylphs with different annual forage crops. The studies were conducted in the southern forest-steppe of Omsk region. There has been a study of the influence of the crop on the formation of the sealing and herbage yield of perfoliate sylphs. The following annual cropspeas and oats mixture, coarse millet, Sudan grass and forage wheat were sown in the herbage of perfoliate sylphs in two periods - in the beginning (May, 10) and with its full growth (May, 24). Studies have shown that the reseeding of annual forage crops in sylphs perfoliate planting improves yield by 40-88 % and to reduction of its contamination with grass to a lower degree. The grasslands with Sudan grass included are known for in- creased yield of green mass of 15.6-16.9 t/ha which exceeds sylphs single-crop sowing by 70-88 %. Yields of sylphs is more dependent on the type of sow crops (43.8-55.6 %) than on its seeding period (3.7-10.1 %). Un- dersowing of annual forage crops in sylphs has a beneficial effect not only on increasing the overall yield of the green mass, but also on reducing its moisture content to the optimum (69.9-75.8 %) for silage laying.
