The article considers the influence of the living standard of the population on the number of children born to one woman in the reproductive age. To determine this interdependence, we calculate the human development index, which includes three components: health and longevity; education / literacy; a decent standard of living and compare it with the total fertility rate. As a result of these comparisons, inverse correlation relationships are determined. Next, the HDI (human development indices) were calculated in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, their comparative analysis and analysis of the dynamics of change were carried out. Dependence of fertility rates on changes in the level of HDI was studied.
