The influence of growing conditions on the productivity and stability of spring wheat varieties

The conducted research allowed identifying spring soft wheat varieties of different ripeness groups which form a high yield in the forest-steppe of the Altai Region's Ob River area and show stable results regarding “high yield” character. The varieties Omskaya 36 and Iset 45 from the group of middle-early varieties may be recommended as high-yielding varieties; their yields amounted to 1.99 t/ha and 2.18 t/ha, respectively. The following varieties should be distinguished in the group of mid-season varieties: Altayskaya zhnitsa, Altayskaya stepnaya, OMGAU 90, which formed the yield exceeding that of the standard variety both in 2015 and 2016. These varieties may be classified as the varieties of a neutral type. In the group of middle-late varieties, regarding their yields, all studied varieties were either significantly at the level of the standard, or significantly exceeded the level of the standard variety. This group of varieties may be distinguished as even and stable in terms of the studied character.
