The article examines the influence of the water area on the mental state of a person. Studies have shown that the presence of water bodies such as rivers, lakes and seas has a positive effect on emotional regulation and reduces stress levels. Water helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which leads to a decrease in anxiety and an improvement in cognitive functions. The mechanisms of the influence of natural landscapes with water elements on the psyche, as well as the prospects for their use in therapeutic and rehabilitation programs, are considered.
