Artistic analysis of works of art in the first quarter of XIX - early XX centuries shows that it was during this period that not only the largest part of the works reflecting the Patriotic War of 1812 was created, but it also accounts for the creation of the most significant of them. Works of art created during this period were unevenly dependent on the strengthening or weakening of public attention to this era. At the same time, it should be noted that over time, the patriotic pathos of the events of the Patriotic War not only did not weaken, but also acquired more and more significant, monumental, literally and figuratively, outlines in the visual arts. This is explained by the fact that the time separating us from the events of the heroic past allows us to see and evaluate these events in a historical perspective.
