Impact of armed conflicts on international security

The article examines the main causes and consequences of the armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, one of the most destructive conflicts of the late XX - early XXI centuries. Particular attention is paid to the socio-political and economic consequences, as well as the humanitarian situation in the region. External and internal factors contributing to the escalation of violence are analyzed, such as the weakness of state institutions, the economic exploitation of natural resources and the intervention of neighboring states. The article offers recommendations for strengthening public administration, improving social infrastructure and strengthening control over resources, aimed at stabilizing the situation and preventing further crises in the country.
