The influence of high-speed trains on tourism

The article presents the results of an analytical review of the original sources in English investigating the impact of the high-speed railway network on domestic and international tourism in the regions where these roads are to be developed. The impact of high-speed trains for different countries is examined in detail. Special attention is paid to the problem how municipal authorities develop tourism in their regions through the high-speed railway network. The findings can be used for touristic and tourism management ontological pools.
