V.Narbut: author's point of view in the lyrics of the 1920-s

The present article gives the detailed analysis of the poem representing V. Narbut's lyrics of the 20-s of the XX century. Its object is the poet's inner crisis caused by the inner conflict of guilt feeling and the responsibility for the participation in the revolution violence excused as the only possible way to build the new better world. Much attention is paid to the commentaries to Bible and mythological associations to make Narbut's lyrics easier to comprehend for a contemporary reader.
