The article is devoted to the development of the foreign trade relations of the Russian Orthodox Church during the reign of Tsar Alexei Мikhailovich. Special attention is given to the specific forms of organization of the foreign trade operations. The authors argue that the foreign trade operations of the Church during the given period had influenced by the contradictions between the State and the Russian Orthodox Church.
