Foreign trade of Russia in 2017: return to rise

The article analyzes the current changes in the dynamics, geographical structure of foreign trade relations of the Russian Federation, manifested against the background of new trends in the movement of conjuncture of the main global commodity markets, under the extension of Western anti-Russian sanctions and countermeasures by the Russian Federation. The author considers preliminary results of Russia's overcoming significant complications in intercountry commodity exchange, especially with its main, traditional counterparts in the European Union (EU), as well as in the Asia-Pacific region. He suggests that due to the obvious ineffectiveness and futility of the Western sanctions imposed against Russia, both the departure from unconstructive relations with Russia and the return of all partners to full-scale mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of international commodity exchange are very timely. This article widely uses the official statistical and the calculated data, which are first introduced in the domestic scientific turnover. The author carries out the study on the base of comparative and statistical analysis.
