Questions of moral in a legal profession define behavior of people, both in the office and off-duty activity. Independent judicial authority is the integral condition of a just society therefore from the very beginning of the carried-out judicial reform there was a question of strenghtening of the moral bases of judicial activity. The judge has to maintain high moral qualities in the course of everyday life that promotes moral formation of the personality, self-education. Anyway, off-duty activity shouldn't raise doubts in judge’s objectivity, justice, integrity. In article problems of the modern concept of a ratio of the legal and moral requirements imposed by various precepts of law and the Code of judicial ethics to behavior of judges of the Russian Federation in off-duty activity are covered.
