Rafting the Volonga river down to the Devonian delta

The results of North Timan paleontological field trips provided by author (1993) and his colleague P.A. Beznosov, a paleontologist from the Institute of Geology (2008, 2011, 2013) are briefly described. The paper is principally focused on the stuff of joint expedition in 2016, when the presence of the late Devonian wide tidal delta was established. The biota and environments of the North Timan delta are discussed and compared with the North American Catskill delta of the same age.
