This paper analyses the Old Russian texts of the Time of Trouble (XVI-XVII century). The author examined the structures verb + nominal participle and describes the ways to express the author's attitude to the inner life of the character of the narrative. It appears that the feelings of the characters, which are described by the Old Russian scribes, are associated with righteous / unrighteous mental processes in the human mind by them. Complex structures with nominal participles, being multidimensional in the reflexion of reality, are used to transfer the most complex evaluative-causative meanings in contexts.
