Waterproofness of membrane textile materials under conditions of operation

The article is devoted to the influence of operational impact on the level of waterproofness of membrane textile materials. As an object of research, waterproof sportswear made of membrane textile materials of various structures was used. During the experiment, a negative effect of mechanical influences and washes on the waterproofness of materials containing a polyurethane membrane layer was revealed. It is shown that the time to maintain a stable level of waterproofness when used as directed for products from composite textile materials containing a membrane depends on the type of material, the quantity and structure of its layers. Clothing, which is subjected to frequent washing and intensive exposure to mechanical factors during operation, should be made from materials that contain a combined two - component hydrophobic - hydrophilic membrane and a textile layer.
