General E.A. Golovin's administrative military and political activities in Caucasia by historians' evaluation

The article deals with the historiography of study of administrative military and political activities of General Golovin in Caucasia. Analyzing the views of pre-revolutionary, Soviet and contemporary Russian and foreign historians, the author comes to the conclusion that there are many stereotypes and misconceptions about this subject.
