The monograph shows that in addition to the material factor, the spiritual factor influences the outcome of the world war. The interdisciplinarity of the research and the introduction of new terms are noteworthy. One of them is the national military consciousness as an extremely important and complex component of the national consciousness, which is a leading factor in world wars. The unity of the ruler and the people through the system of contradictions between society and the army is the driving force for the development of both relations in the military-political field and self-consciousness itself. In order to reveal another term - military identity - the analysis of defeats and victories of the armies of Russia and Germany of the 19th-20th centuries is carried out.
War, spiritual factor, military consciousness, crisis of military consciousness, concept of social development, military-political ideal, unity of ruler and people, subglobalization
