Military hospitals in Kyrgyzstan during the Great Patriotic War

This article discusses the situation in military hospitals evacuated from the frontline and frontline zones during the Second World War to Kyrgyzstan. Based on the analysis of archival materials, the author notes that the best premises of resorts, rest houses and educational institutions were allocated for hospitals. In the preparation and equipping of these premises, in adapting them to hospitals, in addition to budgetary bodies, public organizations and workers of cities and villages of the country took an active part. And also, the author notes that, everywhere, labor collectives, public organizations took patronage over hospitals. They took an activepart in the life of the wounded, participated in the supply and repair of buildings, libraries with books, provided fuel, also paid attention to cultural services for the sick and wounded, arranged lectures and concerts. Active work was carried out to provide out-of-hospital care, and issues related to strengthening inpatient care were resolved. In general, the tasks assigned during the years of the Great Patriotic War to significant healthcare tasks, it was possible to create an effective system for ensuring the evacuation and treatment of wounded soldiers of the Red Army in the shortest possible time. Under these conditions, Kyrgyzstan fulfilled the task assigned to the country with honor and dignity.
