The military conflict in the South Ossetia from the politological point of view

The use of Georgian armed forces against the so-called unrecognized republic (government, military and civilian population of South Ossetia) and Russian peacekeepers could lead to very sad consequences. However, a few hours after the start of the Georgian military operation, units and subunits of the Russian armed forces entered the territory of South Ossetia. The armed clash ended fairly quickly and, with the apparent certainty of its results, caused an avalanche of comments and questions. The event, which began on the night of August 7-8 of this year, and lasted five days, changed not only our country, but also the near and far abroad. The attitude towards Russia and the Russian authorities, towards the Russian army has changed. The processes of changing international relations have been intensified. However, assessments of the armed conflict, its causes, and the participants are given the most varied.
