Concerning requisition of the seminaries by the military department in Russia in 1917

This article covers question of releasing of the seminary buildings from the military departments deployed there in 1917. The February revolution made the Orthodox clergy to reassess their role and tasks in the Russian society, and resulted instrengthening of work in the field of education. As a consequence there was an attempt to organize the activities in the theological academies and seminaries that were occupied by the Military Department.
