Some measures aimed at providing help to families by regional authorities (on the example of Krasnodar region)

The article highlights some aspects of the family policies of the government in Russia. The authors note the necessity to use complex, multidimensional approaches aimed at providing full assistance and support to families. Such approaches must not only include measures directed to strengthening the institute of family and marriage and rendering an adequate help and support, but also restore family as one of the fundamental values for Russians. The authors analyze concrete measures of the federal and regional help to families, among which a maternity capital is distinguished as one of the most popular instruments of impact on a modern family in Russia; its general characteristic is given. The article makes a detailed analysis of regional programs and measures of help and support to families used in Krasnodar Krai by the local regional authorities, their impact on the demographic and social situation on the territory of Krasnodar Krai. The authors make the conclusion that the federal and regional authorities should not stop on the achieved local success and have to continue to improve the instruments of impact on family policies, using the positive practices accumulated in the regions.
