The quality of life after heart injuries

The article describes the results of the long-term postoperative period and the quality of life in 30 patients operated for the heart injuries. The study revealed that in the late postoperative period, 60 % of the patients underwent surgery for the heart injuries had complications. Most of the complications were associated with the adhesion process in the chest cavity. The surgery does not affect the physical health component in the late postoperative period, while the patients note changers in the psychological component of health: fatigue, lack of inner energy and decreased working capacity, decreased social activity; tendency to depression.
