The problems of cultural and educational work in MVD (MGB) of the USSR in 1946-1960s

In the article the author demonstrates that in the postwar period the command of the troops of Interior Ministry (MGB) of the USSR focused on cultural and educational work. Along with the ideological and political education, measures on improvement of the overall and military culture of military personnel, development of amateur art, instilling love for literature were taken. As the author shows, these problems were solving through the material and technical equipment of the cultural institutions and mentoring work of creative teams.
