Issues of forestry improvement of the system of conservation and use of forests in the framework of solving the problem of adaptation of forests and the forest complex to climate change

As part of solving the global problem of mitigating climate change and its consequences, implementing the related social, political and strategic guidelines for the conservation and use of forests in practice, the issues of improving the forestry support of legislative regulation and legal regulation of forestry activities, the effective organization of their implementation in order to increase and sustainably perform ecological, climate-regulating functions by forests, incl. deposition and conservation of carbon. At the same time, shortcomings in the use of forestry developments for the maintenance, conservation and provision of forest use, which are available in the current legislation and regulatory legal documents, are highlighted, specific measures (suggestions) for their elimination are determined. The use of these proposals - with the introduction of appropriate amendments to the Forest Code of the Russian Federation and the rules governing the use of forestry measures with their implementation in practical activities, will ensure a significant improvements in the maintenance, conservation and use of forests, and the adaptation of the forest complex to climate change.
