Issues of Ensuring Gripping and Orientation of Cylindrical Products with Implicit Asymmetry in a Universal Hopper Feeder with Radial Pockets and Active Orientation

The article discusses a universal hopper feeder for cylindrical multicomponent products with implicit asymmetry. Described are design and parameters of gripping and orienting members of universal hopper feeding device with radial pockets including adjustable circular orientator and active orientation by means of cam located in upper part of device hopper. The effect of the shape and dimensions of cylindrical multicomponent products on the parameters of the gripping and orienting organs of the universal bunker feeder was analyzed, recommendations were given for their selection to ensure reliable and stable functioning. Described are conditions under which a universal hopper feeding device will provide the highest feed rate when gripping multicomponent products with implicit and explicit asymmetry.
