Waste management issues: regulation, normative and legal frameworks

Sustainable long-term development of industrial sectors of the national economy, technological changes and scientific and technical progress, as well as the growth of population welfare lead to a constant increase in the volume of production and consumption waste generation in the Russian Federation. The study systematizes the changes in the regulatory and legal support of the waste management industry, analyzes the issues of waste management in the documents of state strategic planning. It is determined that the priority attention of the state policy is given to the legal aspects of the closed cycle economy formation. The recommendations on improvement of the system of state regulation of waste management sphere are formulated.
