Perception of Soviet everyday life by foreign workers and specialists in 1929-1933 (based on the materials of CHTZ and MMK)

The article presents the results of the author’s research on the topic of adaptation of foreign workers and specialists to the “new Soviet way of life”. The facts that allow us to reconstruct the history of everyday life of foreign workers and specialists involved in industrial construction in the Urals (CHTZ and MMK) in the late 1920s - 1930s are presented. The research objective is to show the production and everyday life of foreigners in combination with the characteristic features of Soviet life in the 1920s and 1930s, the specifics of the interaction of foreigners with Soviet workers, the attitude of foreign specialists to Soviet everyday life.
