The article is devoted to the young people’s perception of the political information on the events in Ukraine in 2014, taken from the Internet. The authors considered the nature of political communication on the basis of the perception of the virtual political discourse, the refraction of the political conflict through information warfare. The actuality of the theme of the article is determined by the relevance of the topic to the dynamism of modern political culture, the inability to identify the different sources of legitimacy of authority. The results of the study indicate the situational, unsustainable increase of students' interest to the events in Ukraine, a positive assessment of the Crimea annexation, the highest rating of the president. The components of political discourse perceived by the young people, using the Internet, were the images of the politicians (Russian, Ukrainian, American and European), elections and political vectors of the conflict participants.
