Comprehension of some aspects of socioeconomic development by the population of the Arctic region (case study of the Murmansk region)

The article presents summary results of public-opinion poll carried out by Luzin Institute for Economic Studies in 2016 in the Murmansk region. The authors analyse the aspects of socioeconomic development of the Arctic region, including effectiveness of the executive authority, assessment of the state support measures by residents, and some others. The conclusions concern efficiency of the state Arctic policy of the Russian Federation and the need for development of the Arctic areas on the basis of reconsideration of approaches to practical application and implementation of programs and projects.
