In conditions of Central-Chernozemnyi region of Russia the authors estimated the reproductive ability and productivity of ewes of the North-Caucasian meat-wool breed at the use different regimes, ways and techniques of insemination at various periods of their hest season. It was shown, that the prolificacy in ewes inseminated at the end of hest season is higher by 3,39 %, than in ewes, which were inseminated at the beginning of hest season. The considerable differences between males from winter and spring born seasons in viability, safe keeping, meat and wool productivity, average monthly gain of wool fibre were not revealed. It was shown, that fertilization by handmade copulation, artificial insemination by vaginal and cervical techniques were 100,0; 82,35 and 74,32 %, respectively, a prolificacy - 100,0; 107,5 and 102,17 %. The optimal doses for insemination by fresh and deep frozen sperm at the vaginal method are 0,1 and 0,2 ml, in this case the ewes fertilization reach to 92 and 73 %, respectively. It was revealed, that a cost of forage consumed by mothers and lambs born in winter was higher by 10 %, than during the lamb in spring. Because for raise of effectiveness of sheep breeding the authors recommend to fertilize of ewes in two stages - at the beginning (August) and at the end (December) of hest season.
