Involvement of managers and business owners in the use of psychoactive substances: asociological analysis of social adaptation of this group of citizens in modern Russia

The article is devoted to the study of the spread of psychoactive substances among managers and business owners. On the base of materials of quantitative and qualitative research of the deviant behavior conducted by the sector of sociology of the Federal Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as reviews of domestic and foreign studies, the features of the use of psychoactive substances - alcohol and drugs - are examined among top and middle managers, as well as among business owners. The authors make a comparison of drug use in these groups of drug users in the 1990s and today, identify the main factors of drug latency among managers and representatives of business structures, and consider the involvement of managers in drug use a specific strategy of adaptation to various indicators of the modern lifestyle.
