Impact of information and communication technologies on the environmental situation: the experience of Russia and the Republic of Uzbekistan

This article examines the impact of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) on the environment. The authors identify current trends in ICT's impact on the environment, identify the main causes of these problems, and explore solutions in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to resource conservation measures, the use of analytical IT, artificial intelligence systems, and industrial safety, as well as the implementation of measures to optimize management processes and the environmental responsibility of each employee at enterprises and organizations, all with the goal of increasing the country's competitiveness and minimizing environmental risks.
