Is the necessary defense against nonviolent encroachments possible?

In the presented article, the authors consider the question of against which socially dangerous encroachments the necessary defense is possible, namely: whether the encroachment must necessarily be accompanied by the use of violence or the threat of its use, or the necessary defense is also possible with the suppression of other encroachments, albeit not involving the use or threat of violence, but the intensity which are so great that their suppression is possible only in case of harm to the encroaching person. Scientists come to the conclusion that the primary purpose of the necessary defense is the suppression of violent encroachments. At the same time, within the framework of the necessary defense, it is possible to suppress other encroachments. At the same time, the decision on the legality of causing harm in the suppression of such encroachments depends, first of all, on the intensity of the illegal encroachment being committed.
