Possible presence of the WRKY transcription factor family binding site in the CAR11 gene of Prunus avium

Бесплатный доступ

In this study, the putative sequence of the site (W-box) in the promoter region of the cherry CAR11 gene (Prunus avium) was identified. This region is able to bind to conservative domains and zinc fingers of proteins of the WRKY family of transcription factors, which in turn regulate the transcriptional activity of genes under certain conditions. The obtained results suggest that WRKY transcription factors are involved in regulating the sensitivity of plant cell membranes to abscisic acid by stimulating the expression of genes of the C2-domain ABA-related (CAR) family.
