Possibilities of genetic risk assessment of type 1 diabetes mellitus in children and adolescents in Karelian Republic

Development of the type 1 Diabetes is conditioned by the unfavorable combination of normal genes. There are over 40 polymorphic markers in the type 1 Diabetes, which are localized on the 20 autosomal chromosomes and X chromosome. A comparative analysis of the allele and genotype frequency distribution helped to define population differences in association with the CD 1 type markers in Russian patients and patients from other countries.
