The article is devoted to the topic of the possibility of tourism development based on the model of tourism, applied in Finland, in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). An analysis of the development of tourism in Lapland of recent years is held by considering statistical data, swot analysis. A comparative analysis of tourism development opportunities in Rovaniemi and Yakutia has done.
