Despite the vast experience in the surgery of acute appendicitis, the number of unreasonable appendectomies currently reaches 30-40. Analyzing the data, we significantly narrowed down the contraindications for performing laparoscopic appendectomy. The laparoscopic technique allows you to clearly determine the prevalence of a purulent process and conduct a thorough targeted sanitation. The minimal area of damage to the peritoneum prevents the development of severe adhesive postoperative complications. In addition, the use of the laparoscopic approach allows the detection of concomitant diseases of the abdominal organs. At present, these are the presence of a dense infiltrate, widespread peritonitis, the presence of a single conglomerate with dense fibrous adhesions, pronounced intestinal paresis, requiring decompression.
