Opportunities and roles of Rosselkhozbank in the implementation of social and scientific projects

The article discusses the possibilities and role in the implementation of social and scientific projects of JSC “Russian Agricultural Bank” in the context of ensuring regional development on the example of the Kursk region. The relevance of this study is due to the high degree of importance of creating ecosystems from state and municipal authorities, the banking sector, the educational system, the labor market, and business entities in solving issues and problems of socio-economic development of the region. The purpose of this study is to identify and substantiate the capabilities and role of JSC “Russian Agricultural Bank” in the implementation of social and scientific projects in the context of regional development on the example of the Kursk region. The authors assess the financial condition and position of JSC “Rosselkhozbank” using the annual reporting data for 2016-2020, during which a significant increase in the volume of the loan portfolio, assets and liabilities with the preservation of positive capital, net interest income, profit in annual terms and total income was revealed. The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 had a certain negative impact on the socio-economic and financial sphere. According to the authors, JSC “Rosselkhoznadzor” has significant financial potential and sets of tools and support methods for the implementation of social research projects in the context of regional development. On the example of the Kursk region, the analysis of this kind of activity of JSC “Rosselkhoznadzor” was carried out, key socio-economic and educational projects were identified: “Farmer’s School”, cooperation agreements with the society “Knowledge”, the Administration of the Kursk region, investments in the agro-industrial complex of the region, nominal scholarships for students. In this context, we consider it appropriate to talk about the creation of partnership ecosystems, which includes the educational sphere, state and municipal authorities, the labor market, the agro-industrial complex and the banking sector. For each of the parties involved in the ecosystem, positive effects in the medium and long term are highlighted.
