Opportunities for using virtual management in the development of regional economy

The article considers the possibility of transition to an innovative type of economic development in the Kaliningrad region. A comparative characteristic of the traditional business process management system and a virtual approach to managing the organization is presented. A definition of a virtual organization is given and examples of use in specific sectors of the economy are considered.
