The advancement of culture in the information society takes place in the context of a rapidly developing telecommunications system, which includes new and social media that have become a good platform for the development and promotion of culture. Cultural institutions today actively use new and social media in their daily work, as these media provide the most extensive opportunities for rapid feedback with a culturally interested audience. In the context of the COVID-19 virus pandemic the presence of sites, communities in social networks and messengers that have proven their reliability and efficiency as public communication channels has become an important factor that makes it possible for cultural and educational institutions to work remotely or in a virtual format.
