Possibilities «Tension free» abdominal wall plastics at elimination of the inguinal hernia

The results of inguinal canal's plastics by the way of Desard (108) and the way of Liechtenstein (165) were compared. The relapse rate during the year after the surgery of Desard was 3,7%, after the surgery of Liechtenstein - 1,3%. After the elimination of hernias of the first type, the plastic of Liechtenstein was not used. After the elimination of 4th type of hernias - the relapse rate after the surgery of Desard was 100%, after the surgery of Liechtenstein - 14%. The Complications after hernioplasty of Desard occurred in 34,3% of cases, after the surgery of Liechtenste - in 32%. The frequency of complications was in high positive correlation with the age of patients and the type of inguinal hernia.
