Opportunities for great tourist discoveries in the Arctic

Tourism is an important sphere that, in addition to recreational and educational functions, forms tolerance and a comprehensive view of the world, contributes to the evolution and transformation of people's behavior, respect for the peculiarities of national cultures. The Russian Arctic zone as a unique natural object has enormous potential for the development of world-class ecological and sustainable tourism. In the context of the spread of the pandemic, this zone has become more relevant, as it can offer new destinations for travel, which at the same time meet modern safety standards. The question remains on what principles and foundations should the policy of forming this industry in this region be carried out. The article examines the key problems of the development of Arctic tourism and suggests a number of ways to improve both the tourism sector itself and the system of its state support and management.
