The appearance of dandyism as a cultural phenomenon

The article discusses the history of the origin of the concepts of "dandy", "dandyism". The author reveals the main content and presents a detailed description of these definitions in scientific and aesthetic aspects. The paper identifies the main factors of origin of dandyism in England in CVIII century. Theoretical analysis allows to conclude that the ideas of dandyism as a cultural phenomenon reflected in fashion and literature.
