A gradual deterioration in the functioning of the vestibular apparatus of older people is noted. It influences on quality of life in older persons and increases the risk of falls. We tested influence of the duration and regularity of sports on vestibular stability at rest and during single training with feedback. A more effective decrease in the area of the statokinesiogram was revealed in young athletes. A decrease in the amplitude of the deviation of the center of pressure was determined in individuals without regular physical activity. Possible mechanisms of the revealed differences are considered. The established features of the rate of change of stabilometric indicators during training can be used in the maintaining the function of postural control in the elderly persons. We proposed improvement of vestibular control and evaluation of the effectiveness biofeedback methods.
