In cases where acute myocardial infarction (AMI) manifests itself in its classical clinical (anginal) variant, its diagnosis is not difficult. However, according to the literature, in almost a quarter of cases, the course of the disease is atypical, which significantly complicates the diagnosis of AMI, especially at the prehospital stage. Consequently, timely recognition of atypical forms of AMI is an important task in medical practice, since it determines the nature of treatment and the prognosis of a patient's life. Currently, the problems associated with the atypical clinical course of AMI are especially urgent. This is explained by the general trend of changes in the age structure of the population of all countries, which is manifested by a steady increase in the proportion of elderly and senile people, which leads to an increase in the proportion of the contingent of this age category among AMI patients.
