Accession of Siberia to Russia: new data All-Russian scientific conference with international participation (Tyumen’, 9-10 December 2014)

The conference raised issues on the history of the campaign fought by the Cossack detachment under the command of Ataman Yermak in Siberia, which started the process of the Russian accession of Siberian lands. This article briefly informs on the content of the reports submitted for discussion by historians and archaeologists from several research centers in Siberia and the Republic of Tatarstan. Proceedings of the conference reflect the current level of scientific research on the issue of western regions of Siberia joining Muscovy State (Moscow kingdom).
