This article analyzes the major trends in the development of the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians in the period of the revolutions and the Civil War in Russia. Originating shortly before the collapse of the Russian Empire and had survived the repressions during the First World War, in 1917-1922 the Union, the purpose of which was the evangelization of the Russian population, strengthened organizationally, the number of communities -members of the Union and the number of believers increased. The Union became one of the largest Protestant denominations in the Soviet Russia.
