Students' socialization in the university: approaches, structure, factors, mechanisms

The article is concerned with urgent issues of the students' socialization in the high educational institution. Basing upon the existing socialization theories, the author describes this process. The socialization is presented as a structure consisting of the following components: spontaneous, relatively managed, relatively socially controlled, and more or less consciously self-developed. The author describes factors and mechanisms of the socialization and its specific features in the university.
