The article attempts to compare the views of Vasily Rozanov and Konstantin Leontiev on some issues of social and cultural life, as well as to show the complexity and ambiguity of their attitude towards the work of some Russian philosophers and writers. The author traces the history of their correspondence and reveals a number of aspects the discussion of which revived it.
