Introduction of settlement and pared-down town self-government in the Far East of Russia in the years 1907 - 1917

The article is devoted to the problem of introduction of settlement and pared-down town self-government in the Far East of Russia in the beginning of the XX century. On the basis of the archival data negative influence of bureaucratic and class interests on the system of local self-government development in the mentioned period is revealed.
