The theoretical and practical aspects of DOI:ng modern profitable gardening based on the use of virus-free planting material obtained by microclonal propagation are presented. A brief historical overview of the formation of this method in Russia is given. The question of the recovery of explants from various pathogens, viruses, and diseases is considered on the example of the Siebold hosts (Hosta sieboldiana Hook.) Used in modern commercial gardening. The composition of the nutrient medium for the cultivation of plants, the stages of reproduction, rooting and adaptation to the conditions of open ground are also indicated.
